Mood:  celebratory

Today I took vacation and volunteered my time at College Hill Elementary's Latchkey Program where I taught 50 kids how to tie dye in the great tradition of all the Grateful Dead Heads that I have ever known.

We used about 12 different colors and pre-printed College Hill Latchkey shirts with their Cougar Paw logo on the shirt in black. The kids will wear these shirts all summer when they go on field trips and such with the program.

I did this for the first time last year and it went really well. They were excited to have me back. I wore my super tie dye black outfit for them to see all the patterns that are available using the various folding methods. 

Photos of the children's efforts are posted on my Facebook photo album. It is much easier to upload photos to Facebook and share them than to my own website which is super slow.

I am planning on doing some tie dye with Matt's parents and the kids when they are here around 4th of July. Can't wait to see how those come out.
